Welcome to Burdekin Catholic High School, a vibrant and energetic Catholic school founded in the Marist tradition, which embraces a close working relationship between staff, students and parents.
Our experienced staff, in their vocation as Catholic educators, are dedicated to ensuring each student is provided with the opportunity to achieve their goals. As the Principal of Burdekin Catholic High School, I am delighted to invite you to explore our website and discover what makes our school a place of family spirit with a long educational tradition in the Burdekin region.
Founded in 1974 as a result of the amalgamation of Edmund Campion College, founded by the Marist Brothers in 1953, and St Francis Xavier Convent High School, founded by the Sisters of the Good Samaritan in 1945, we endeavour to support your child's spiritual, intellectual and social gifts in a safe, caring and enjoyable Catholic learning environment. Our partnership with parents in the education of your children is something we pride ourselves on.
With approximately 300 students, Burdekin Catholic High School offers a diverse curriculum, complemented by a range of extra-curricular activities such as sports, cultural events, and mission initiative, allowing for the development of students in many areas.
I warmly invite you to visit our community and see our beautiful grounds and working environment. I believe that Burdekin Catholic High School would be an excellent choice of a Secondary school for your child and I am confident you would experience what it means to be part of a friendly, caring, Catholic community. To know more about our school, please contact our school office and our team will be happy to answer any questions you may have about enrolling in our school.
